A Very Metro Pesach

For those of you who don't know, Passover is a holiday that lasts a whole eight days. That means eight days without Chipotle burritos, eight days without Greek Lady pita, eight days without beer. But fear not, Jewish Quakers (!): everyone's favorite neighborhood bakery has some satisfying KFP (that is, Kosher For Passover) items for you.

Check out Metropolitan Bakery's full Passover menu after the jump. But remember, all items are first come, first served — so buy early and often.

Handmade Matzah: Plain, Sesame, Olive, and Sundried Tomato — $3.50/sheet

Apple Coconut Macaroons: A twist on the classic Passover treat, filled with sweet apples and shredded coconut — $2.50/each

French Macaroons: Almond-based egg white cookies in several flavors — $2.50/each

And ask about special ordering their flourless chocolate cake, available with and without chocolate ganache glaze and slivered almond coating ($29.50 and $24.50, respectively).
