Oh, Those Wharton Recessionistas

wharton-nymag

We've crushed on New York magazine before, but this time, they're crushing on us! This week's issue of the glossy features a ten-page spread that polls and interviews Class of '09 graduates, be they from fifth grade or from master's programs. Among the lucky diploma-wielding groups featured is the recently graduated Wharton MBA class (aside from Yale's School of Architecture, Wharton is the only program not located in New York City). Among the various graduates pictured is Neil Dalal, who is unfortunately sporting a gray fleece Wharton vest in his photo (eww). Dalal is quoted as saying,

"Everyone used to talk about what lavish things they wanted to buy with their future bonuses. Now some friends with jobs paying more than $100,000 have mentioned living with parents and commuting to work."
Ah, the tough life of making a hundred G a year. We feel for you, Neil.
