Garton To Get Keifferocious On Rest Of Ivy League

Maybe it's all the Hard Knocks we've been watching or maybe it's all the reading we've been doing in preparation for our fantasy drafts, but either way, we're pumped for football season. So it was great to see our pals at the New York Times give Penn starting quarterback, Keiffer Garton, a nice write up as part of their college football preview. Though the big schools start play next week, we don't begin until the September 19th. So you may think this has been written too early to get the other teams in the Ivy League scared of our double threat behind center, but you would be so wrong.

We are imagining the boys at Harvard cutting this out and putting it up on their locker room corkboard next to some resolution they wrote about lowering greenhouse gas emissions (because they're BRAINS and NERDS, duh). Every day they will look at it and sweat a little bit and come closer to realizing that Mr. Garton is our Mr. Tebow, scrambling over everything in his path. By the time we show up in Cambridge on November 14th, we can only guess that we will be met with fear, like we're the Little Cowboys, only this time we will win.

And If Garton does indeed live up to the hype, the Ivy League title is in the bag. It's unlikely that this championship will lead to another ridiculous celebration, but we can probably at least score a cupcake party.
