Will Txt 4 Food

We were so psyched to hear that we could pay for our Magic Carpet meal deals by credit card, because seriously, the trek to the Wawa ATM = no fun. But get this: the DP reports today that scores of food carts near campus are now accepting payments by text message.

The system is set up through a service called Venmo started by enterprising Penn grads (duh), whereby you can send a text to a specific number to pay your bill. This sounds cool, but if technical difficulties make the line at Hemo's any longer or the process of getting a burrito at Don Memo move any slower, we will not be pleased. In addition to Hemo's and Memo's, the service is also available at Coup de Taco and Hub Bub.
