Junot Diaz On Campus Tonight

Courtney Guth Monday, March 29, 2010Mon, Mar 29, 2010

Remember when the English Department handed out copies of Junot Diaz's The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao for your Winter Break reading pleasure? Well apparently some people do, because they're bringing the award-winning author to campus tonight to speak at Claudia Cohen Hall (room A17, 5-9 pm). Diaz's literature has won many awards, including the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Dayton Literary Peace Price and the 2008 Pulitzer Prize (yeah, he's got it like that). The event is part of the Festival Latino 2010 Celebration. For more information, or for a copy of the Festival calendar, contact Migdalia Carrasquillo at lals@sas.upenn.edu.
