Update from the DP: A carjacking that took place near 50th Street culminated in a shoot-out on campus, behind the Free Library of Philadephia on 40th and Walnut streets. According to DPS, gunshots were exchanged and one of the suspects was shot and killed. No civilians or police were injured. Check thedp.com for updates throughout the night.

Shots Fired Around Campus-- According to a million people's Twitters, Facebook statuses, and reports from tipsters, shots were fired somewhere on campus between 40th and Walnut and the High Rises. The DP's Twitter says 40th between Sansom and Spruce is blocked off. Some witnesses say a man was tackled in front of Philly Diner. More details as they come in.
