"Secrets Of The Silk Road" To Remain A Secret

So you know that Penn Museum exhibit about the Silk Road that everyone was getting all excited about? No? Okay, whatever, just play along.

The museum announced today that, at the request of Chinese officials, the exhibit—due to open this Saturday and run through June—will no longer display over 100 Chinese artifacts and one 4000-year-old mummy.

Spokespersons for the museum are keeping mum(my) about why the Chinese pulled out, clouding the whole exhibit in a shroud of mystery and making us suspect that Brendan Fraser must be somewhere nearby.

Update: According to museum reps, pre-sold tickets will be refunded. Instead, there will be a scaled-down exhibit, free with admission, that will display photos of the Chinese mummies and artifacts, and will include multi-media exhibits and interactive stations.
