Penn Traditions We Wish Were Still Things

With graduation approaching, tradition is everywhere. We're reminded that we actually go to an Ivy League institution with a kajillion years of history. But while old dudes holding their class flags down Locust is heartwarming, there's a few things we wish were still around to liven this place up a bit.

Check out this Street article with the lowdown on funny old stuff! Some highlights:

  • Sophomore Cremation, where sophs held full-scale funerals for the year's worst textbooks and effigies of professors
  • Bowl Fight, which was a good way to let off some steam until someone died
  • Rowbottom, where yelling "ROWBOTTOM" was an excuse to randomly get as rowdy as a 2008 Phillies parade
