Prefrosh Make Us Proud

Picture-6

How about this for a feel-good Friday? NBC Philadelphia picked up a story about incoming freshman Althea Escorce, who moved to Philly from Guyana three years ago to become the valedictorian and senior class president of Germantown High School. Pretty standard attributes of a Penn student, right? Maybe, except for the part where she was offered over a million dollars in scholarships from more than 40 universities. What? No wait, what? We don't even get it (SO MANY ESSAYS. SO MANY SCHOOLS) but we're glad Penn snagged her. When our cholesterol levels skyrocket after weekly runs to Shake Shack, we want this aspiring cardiologist to be the one prescribing us Lipitor.
