Amy On A Roll

Not content with mere fluff pieces, Madame President today reminded us she's also the president of that really important commission we totally forgot about until some people said she was unfit for it. Because that commission did something!

Back in the 1940s, US scientists decided it would be okay to infect some Guatemalans with syphilis to study the effects of penicillin. That's shady at best, but it's made kind of worse considering oh, you know, they didn't tell the Guatemalans that they were giving them STDs.

When we took Latin American History for that easy sector requirement we knew the US was into messing with Guatemala, but that's a little over the top. Amy thought so too, which is why her commission laid the smack-down on scientists who are probably dead by now. Justice!
