Occupy Penn Email Says Students Were Arrested In Last Night's Eviction

As you may know, police downtown emptied out Occupy Philly last night night per Mayor Nutter's orders to begin a long-planned construction project. This did not go particularly smoothly. In an email to members, Occupy Penn says that several Penn students and Penn professor Toorjo Ghose were apparently arrested last night. We're trying to find and confirm details: if you have any information, let us know.

We've been told that in light of the evictions, OccupyPhilly is coming to rally at the Button at noon. Read the full email from Occupy Penn after the jump.

It looks like our dear friends and comrades Toorjo, Moshe, Ellie, Emma, and Will were arrested last night. Meg, Soh and I were also there, but we left earlier (but before seeing some disgusting police brutality-- cops charging at people on the sidewalk with horses). Toorjo was arrested on 15th and Market holding down the street. I don't have the details about Moshe, Ellie, Emma, and Will though. We are communicating with legal about their status. If anyone knows anything, please send out more info and how we can be of help. I'll do the same.
