Forbes To Maury: You Can't Sit With Us!

Maury

Yesterday, Forbes came out with a list of the 30 Most Generous Celebrities, noting contributions from $300k to over $10 million. This was all well and good, and certainly good since it's charity and giving and all that jazz, but speaking of giving, guess who didn't give Maury Povich C'62 his due credit.

As you might recall, America's favorite talking paternity test dropped off a whopping one million nuggets on the doorstep of Kelly Writers House last March to establish journalism programs. While giving handouts to English majors might not qualify as "philanthropy" per se, supporting the arts, literacy and field of journalism could totally make the cut as legitimate causes. Besides, NFL player Ndamukong Suh made the list for donating to a college athletic department.

Which all obviously means one thing and one thing only: Maury is not celebrity status enough for Forbes.
