Last week, a professor brought her pet lizard to class, and all we can say is...wow, profs – they're just like us! They love domesticated animals, too!!!
The implications of this li'l show-and-tell are simply astounding. A professor with a pet?! That she has to feed? And snuggle? And take to the vet when it gets sick? We (read: our moms) do the same things with our beloved cats 'n dogs!
So next time you get the teensiest bit homesick for Sparky, just remember that your prof's heart pangs when she's away from her pet, too. Hm, maybe that "my dog ate my homework" excuse really could work!
