13: John Kasich's Lucky Number

Every Penn student worth their salt knows that deadlines can be deadly. It's more than common that assignments submitted past their deadlines are counted as automatic zeroes, prompting the ritual pleading, crying, and carrying on of the lamenting freshman in Writing Sem. Apparently the same rules apply to state government!

College Sophomore Nathaniel Rome, chairman of Pennsylvania Robots for Rubio, has somewhat famously made a case against Kasich's inclusion in the Pennsylvania primary. The problem is, he submitted the necessary documents 13 minutes too late! The deadline was clearly Feb. 23 at 5pm. Rome submitted at 5:13pm.

The reason for the tardiness? At the time of this story, reasons are unknown...which is okay because conjecture is much more fun than fact. Maybe Rome slept through his alarm? Perhaps AirPennNet just wouldn't connect? Was he celebrating Cruz's firing of a staffer over a DP video? Who's to tell?

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter too much. Rome got a zero on this assignment. Maybe he should just withdraw from the class, much like Rubio withdrew from the presidential race
