3 Ways to Effortlessly Mention You Were Tapped for a Senior Society in a Casual Conversation

Spring has sprung, everyone! And you know what that means. Senior society season is in full swing. Well, you probably know that already, because you've likely interacted with at least five people who have forcefully brought the topic up in conversation! If you're looking to be more like them, here's a few ways you can mention you were tapped for a senior society in a super natural way.

1. Take a friend out for lunch

Why not catch up with someone you haven't spoken to in a while? You'll say something like, maybe, "Hey! It's been so long! Let's catch up! Let's do lunch next week." They'll ask you "what's new," and you won't waste any time. You'll proceed to go on about how  "overwhelmed" and "stressed out" about how many senior societies you were tapped for, and how hard this whole process is for you.

2. Write a lengthy OP-ED style Facebook status

You want to let the world know you're not shallow, so write a long thinkpiece about how you disapprove of Penn's highly competitive culture that constantly finds new and arbitrary ways to rank students by social status. "I mean, I would know how bad senior societies are, considering I've been tapped for five of them. But I totally disapprove of them, though. Yeah. Totally," you'll say.

3. Open a window and shout it into the void

Let's face it, you want the world to know. And you're not ashamed of it. Open your window and yell "HELLO WORLD! I WAS TAPPED FOR ALL THESE SENIOR SOCIETIES AND NOBODY CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME!" as loud as you possibly can for all of Penn to hear.
