Thanks to a tipster for this perturbing snapshot of a VP 5th floor study carrel on Sunday. Looks like someone went a little cray-cray and got heavily intoxicated Saturday night. Like a true multitasking Penn student, he or she worked hard and played hard simultaneously. Don't get us wrong – we all can enjoy a little Olivia Pope red with work, but three cans of Bud Ice (which is Budweiser with slightly more alc, we looked it up)? Dayum. Apparently Penn's hottest club is Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center.

College Sophomore Passes Away -- We are immensely saddened to report the loss of our classmate Elvis Hatcher, who died earlier today. UPDATE: Elvis' death has been ruled a suicide, according to the DP.

Six Instragram users had their work published in print in Thursday's DP, and now the next tier of snow day pic visionaries are getting cyber-famous. The runners-up used the hashtag #UTBSnowDay and were selected for truly capturing the beauty of campus (and beyond) during the 1.5 snow days this week. Now that our streets are slushy and GBMs/OCR/rush are back, we thank these photographers for snapping the fleeting wintry serenity that enveloped Penn during this semi-commitment-free blizzard. We'll take it, because it's better than the last original tune about Penn – and lezbereal, many of us are making the pilgrimage to the Tri-State Area next week for the festival of lights and cranberries.

Yet another leadership position has been awarded to Madame President, and as usual, we're kvelling. The blonde bombshell was recently elected as vice chair of the Association of American Universities, which you KNOW leads into a glorious term as chair. So she'll kind of be the president of presidents, allowing her to discuss issues close to home on a national platform. Sigh.
