When she got the notification that her roommate, Izzy*, had posted a photo in Official Unofficial Penn Squirrel Catching Club, Louisa Allen* was eager to see what kind of relatable content it would be. “Course registration reax only,” the caption read, followed by a picture of an empty schedule. By the time Louisa clicked on the post, it had already garnered almost 30 likes, and multiple people had tagged friends in the comments

To someone who didn’t know any better, it seemed like a classic relatable meme that epitomized the all-too-familiar struggle of failing to get into your requested courses. But while struggling students commiserated in the comments, Louisa couldn’t help but feel like she was on the inside of a high-profile lie.

“The thing is,” she told us, “Izzy got into all of her requested classes. Every. Single. One. I don’t know how it’s even possible, but she did.” To Allen's dismay, Izzy’s post continued to rise in popularity and several of their mutual friends starting bringing it up in conversation.

“I, like, totally died laughing when I saw it—so relatable!” one friend gushed.

“It’s like you looked into my soul and put all of my emotions into a single meme!” another said.

While Allen stood by, shocked, Izzy continued to accept the praise and spew lies to her adoring fans.

We spoke to the meme creator herself to hear about her inspiration.“So, I saw that I hadn’t gotten any of the classes I wanted," she said. "And I felt like I could inspire the masses by posting this brilliant meme, which just like came to me, like some sort of divine intimation, or something. I'm not certain, but I vaguely recall an angel speaking to me in a dream about the idea. It’s hard to say for sure, but I might be the messiah, you know?” We didn’t, but nodded along nonetheless.

Rumors have also been spreading that Izzy is being considered as a new moderator of the OUPSCC given her wildly popular meme. However, it remains to be seen what kind of backlash awaits once this article is posted. Thanks to the investigative reporting of Under the Button, justice may be served.
