Penn Vet’s Secret Experimentation Center went into lockdown last night after a humanoid amphibian they were studying escaped its tank, University officials stated.

The animal, which has the general body shape of a human, but has gills and is covered in scales, appeared to have shattered its glass tank by using its curiously hard ears to crack it open.

A source claims to have spotted it speaking sign language to a woman dressed in 1950’s garb just before the breakout.

It is unclear whether the creature has been captured, killed, or has yet to be caught.
