So much for Phineas and Ferb’s endless summer vacation, because Punxsutawney Jared says there’s only six weeks of summer left. This is all due to the fact that he recently saw his shadow after finally looking up from the stack of files placed on his desk at 5:53 PM on Friday.

Luckily, the noticing of his shadow coincided with Intern Day at his summer gig. Every year on Intern Day, the mayor comes in to mentor the new batch of interns, while hopefully not dropping them in the process. (And yes, this has actually happened.)

Why exactly interns are still used to predict the calendar year is yet a mystery. Even so, Jared’s revelation was so dramatic that the movie rights have already been picked up, with Bill Murray in talks to play the title character.

Welp, thanks Jared. But do look for Intern Day, releasing in winter of 1993!
