What about the geese?

Well, according to the company's website, all of luxury winter-wear Canada Goose's down blends contain Canadian Hutterite down, "enabling [them] to manufacture lighter jackets without sacrificing warmth."

However, as most people know, the goose population has been suffering in recent years due to the high volume of Ivy League students wanting to "look fabulous, but not as fabulous as they would in Monclers," College senior Vanessa Hudgens shared.

Because the company believes that "all animals are entitled to humane treatment in life and death and [is] deeply committed to the ethical sourcing and responsible use of all animal materials in [its] products," it has taken steps to rehabilitate geese populations across the United States and Canada. For every goose that is slaughtered in its supply chain, the winter-jacket retailer will simply "plant a new goose," said CEO Dani Reiss.

Canada Goose hopes this will contribute to both stopping climate change and the bad press from PETA.

The coyotes, however, will continue being trapped – and now exclusively in Wyoming. To animal-sympathizers, Reiss points to the fact that they can unzip the fur and it's like the animal was never even skinned.
