In a historic first, Period. End of Sentence. has won an Oscar for the second year in a row, with the Academy recognizing the movie as, “so good.”

The Academy made the decision to celebrate the movie a second time after concerns arose that the producers had not been given enough acknowledgment for the work they did to pay for the film.

“When I heard the news, I became incredibly emotional,” noted Amy Gutmann, President of the University of Pennsylvania. “This was such a great moment for the women in India a second time,” said Gutmann as she scarified Claire Sliney’s face onto her right bicep.

In response to the award, Penn has announced plans to donate 3 million dollars to a charity set up to build a giant golden pad outside of college hall. The artists behind the pad hope it will serve as a permanent reminder to the Penn community to celebrate this movie that won two Oscars.
