Denzel's speech at our fair institution has been getting coverage all over the internet this week, but nothing beats being the Yahoo homepage. Well, we guess being the homepage of a company not speeding towards irrelevance would be slightly better, but hey. We're famous!

Well, that was fun. Illustrious alum Donald Trump has decided that he's not running for president anymore. According to the ABC News report, the 2012 election will have to go on sans his lunacy: "After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the presidency," Trump said in a statement. "...my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election... however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector." After his great speech today, we're thinking Denzel might as well give it a shot.
Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to get lost in the Wikipedia page on academic regalia for a couple of hours.
In case you're too deep in Walnut Walk to read the news, our infamous alum, Raj Rajaratnam, has been found guilty on all counts in his high-profile insider trading trial. He faces up to 25 years in prison, but even before that he's got to cough up $100 million for bail. Here's some better things he could have done with that money: Donated enough to name 44% of the School of Medicine Stopped SAC's financial problems... 107 times over Bought every single person in Philadelphia a meal during Restaurant Week (including drinks and tip) Sent 1,743 kids to Penn, all expenses paid Covered 158% of the losses he was trying to avoid by insider trading in the first place In conclusion: don't insider trade.
Groupon To The Cupcake Truck -- $2 for $4 worth of Buttercream Philly is a steal!
Is David Beckham Back? -- Sources are saying that David Beckham and Just the LA Galaxy is practicing at Rhodes Field (that's at Penn, folks) right now for their Philly game tomorrow. No Beckham, but Landon Donovan is in the house! This wouldn't be the first time they've graced us with their presence, so we're probably going to post up there forever from now on.
Happy Senior Week -- You have approximately 6 days to accomplish any and all bucket lists. Need some inspiration? Check out "The 50 Things You Must Do Before You Graduate"
With graduation approaching, tradition is everywhere. We're reminded that we actually go to an Ivy League institution with a kajillion years of history. But while old dudes holding their class flags down Locust is heartwarming, there's a few things we wish were still around to liven this place up a bit.
It's Nice Out! -- Revist our guide to fun in nice weather. Sorry if you have finals.
According to a tipster who spoke to Hemo Abdulaziz himself, the food truck is getting a storefront by fall 2011. It will still be in West Philly, just some 6-7 blocks away from his current spot on Spruce.
