Nadine Is Coming, Nadine Is Coming!

Well, it seems that members of our fair blogosphere are descending upon Penn this week. First Christian Lander, now Nadine Haobsh! Nadine is a personal girl-crush of mine, and will be visiting the Penn Bookstore tomorrow at 2PM to promote her new novel, Beauty Confidential. See below for Nadine's bio (taken from her site, Jolie Nadine).

Dubbed "the poster girl for the blogger generation" by the New York Post, Nadine Haobsh was born in New York City in 1980. After twenty-two years of obsessively staring at her hair in the mirror (and following internships at CNN, InStyle, Harper's Bazaar and FHM), she discovered that it was indeed possible to make a career out of narcissism and became a beauty editor. After stints at Lucky magazine and Ladies' Home Journal Nadine began a blog under the pseudonym "Jolie in NYC", where she dispersed beauty advice and celebrity gossip. Mayhem ensued, her identity was revealed, the beauty industry went into an uproar and an offer at Seventeen magazine was rescinded. (It was a busy day.) Since being outed, internationally chronicled and thrust into the spotlight as a beauty expert, Nadine works as a beauty and marketing consultant and has blogged for Jane, MTV, Jaunted and the Huffington Post and freelanced for Cosmo, Fashion Week Daily, Harper's Bazaar Japan, C Magazine and the New York Daily News. Of course, she also maintains her own blog, JolieNadine.com, which has attained a cult following. She speaks on beauty nationwide and was recently featured in television spots for Bare Minerals and Guthy Renker's new skincare line In An Instant. She has a passion for traveling, polo, stiff drinks and learning how to say "Where is the nearest Sephora?" in new languages, and currently lives in Los Angeles. Her second book, a novel entitled Confessions of a Beauty Addict, is being released by Harper-Collins today.
