Their Serious Faces Say It's Fashion Week

As the video above tells you, Penn's own Fashion Week begins today. We'll forgive the over-the-top looks of unhappiness the models have because they did manage to get both Domenico De Sole AND Penn alum Tory Burch to grace our campus this week. Both are impressive catches by themselves, let alone together. And it doesn't hurt that a third of the audience at Domenico De Sole's address will probably be wearing Tory Burch flats. Brooks Brothers Dress for Success March 30 at 6 PM in Huntsman JMHH 245 Representatives from Brooks Brothers will come to show students how to dress professionally for the work place. In addition, they will be offering attendees discounts for store merchandise.

Career Panel Discussion: Can Luxury Survive the Economy? March 31 at 6pm in SDHD 1206 Stephan Starr and representatives from Rolls Royce, Maserati, Robert Burke Associates, Bottega Veneta, Estee Lauder, The Double Seven and Lotus, and The Box (clubs in NYC) will come to discuss the economy’s impact on the luxury industry. Executives from firms such as Bloomingdales and Cartier will discuss the evolution of retail and the direction it is headed.

MAC Makeup Workshop April 1 at 6pm in JMHH F65 Makeup artists from MAC will come to showcase their key spring looks on attendees. In addition, makeup will be sold to benefit the MAC AIDS fund.

Keynote Speech: Domenico De Sole, Chairman of Tom Ford International April 2 at 6pm in Claudia Cohen Hall G17 Domenico De Sole of Tom Ford and former CEO of the Gucci Group will discuss his career within the business side of the fashion and retailing industry.

Dzine2Show’s Spring Fashion Show April 4 at 6pm in College Hall Dzine2Show’s annual fashion production showcasing student made apparel as well as student models.

Speech: Tory Burch April 7 at 4:30pm in Huntsman Hall G06 Penn Alum and CFDA Accessories winner, Tory Burch will discuss her role within the fashion industry.
