Hey Day Mayday

Members of the Class of 2005 bite each other's hats on Hill field, Hey Day 2004.

Um, we take this back, because apparently the Class of 2010 isn't capable of selecting a T-shirt design without a voting scandal.  Oooh, 10-sion!  Class prez Arthur Gardner Smith just e-mailed the class announcing that there was "a problem with how the votes were cast" and that a recount is imminent.  Sounds pretty suspicious -- if you know any more details, tip us.

The e-mail in full, including the stringent new voting procedure, after the jump:

From: "Smith, Arthur" Date: Tue, 07 Apr 2009 01:21:52 -0400 To: Subject: RE-VOTE: PLEASE READ- VERY IMPORTANT

Juniors,

We realized that there was a problem with how the votes were casts. I’m thankful to each of you who gave us your feedback, we will revote!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1) Please visit the penn10.org website at: http://penn10.org/index.php?page=vote

Each design image you see has a ‘submission title’ associated with it—write that down.

2) From your Penn E-mail account ONLY, Send a message to heyday2009@gmail.com

In the subject, ONLY TYPE THE NAME OF THE SUBMISSION TITLE (ie: “FACEBOOK”)

· Do not include multiple submission titles in the subject or your selection will be deleted

· You may only use your Penn email account to cast your vote—any other email accounts will not be recognized

· Do not send multiple emails with different subjects, all emails will be cross checked.

3) In the message, include your PennCard Number ONLY

· We will cross check ALL PennCard Numbers to ensure that ONLY Juniors are voting.

· There should be nothing other than your PennCard number is the message.

VOTING WILL CONCLUDE AT 11:59 PM ON TUESDAY NIGHT! Any votes received after that time will not be included.

Our goal, as is yours, is to have an accurate vote that reflects your input! As an FYI, we’ve spoken with the current design winner and we will be providing her a free Hey Day Package.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me—my phone is on, and I’ll be available by email.
