One Man's Trash Is... Well, They're Selling Our Stuff Again

brave-little-toaster

Remember last year when we told you about what happens to all the junk we leave behind at the end of spring semester? No, it's not sitting around in the Land of Lost Toys – it's been sold for charity!

While we were busy getting sunburned nicely bronzed and pretending to have internships, PennMOVES was finding new homes for all our things.  This year, they're up to their old tricks again, taking our unwanted clothes, furniture, and other dorm essentials and selling them good 'n cheap at a giant flea market at the Ice Skating Rink on 31st & Walnut.

Proceeds go to United Way, where they will then be distributed to a bunch of local charities. Our neighbors apparently call this time of year "Penn Christmas," so if you're feeling in the spirit of buying a ton of stuff for really low prices, the flea market is this Saturday, June 5, starting at 8 a.m.  Like last year, admission is $5 for the first two hours, and then free for the rest of the day.
