Fall Fest! It's Today!

Final-Fall-Fest-Map-2010

The second annual Fall Fest starts on college green in about an hour, and boy-oh-boy, does SPEC have a bundle of things lined up for the day. Free food and student group activities are lining Locust Walk, and lots of musical competitions judged by applause-o-meter are scheduled throughout the afternoon. There's even some sort of bungee-jump trampoline business happening in front the library, so be sure to let us know what that's about. Here's a rundown of the schedule:

2-3 - Inter-Class DJ Battle: In which DJs of every year will compete against each other for illustrious title of House DJ for the rest of the day - they'll also get to open for headliner Hoodie Allen.

2-6 - Free Food and Activities: Two hotshot food trucks (Coup de Taco and Call Me Cupcakes) will be providing free food to the first 750-1000 people to ask for it. Also, student activities groups will have booths set up all over the place, so check those out too.

But wait, there's more!

3-6 - Battle of the Bands: Five of Penn's greatest go head to head on the main stage, and the winners will be announced by 34th Street's own music editors.

6:30 - Pudding Eating Contest: Um, apparently, there's a pudding eating contest. Be on the lookout.

7-8 - DJ Dance Party: Whoever wins the position of House DJ during the DJ battle will have the privilege of playing whatever they feel like during this time slot. May the best man win, for the sake of this entire hour.

8-10 - Hoodie Allen: Recent alum and man-on-the-rise Hoodie Allen takes the stage and closes out the day.

For more info about the days events, poke around SPEC's website. Also, a word of advice to those sitting this one out in favor of homework: avoid the library. The south facing windows are anything but soundproof.
