People Who Went To Penn: Toomas Hendrik Ilves

est_prezident

When it comes to breeding United States presidents, Penn's kinda slackin'. Sure, we've got President Harrison, but maybe if he hadn't withdrawn from the School of Medicine (what?!), he could've done something about that pneumonia and would've lasted just a little bit longer in office.

Luckily, Toomas Hendrik Ilves broke the Penn losing streak, because he's the current president of Estonia! Ilves began his 5-year term in October 2006 and we really, really don't wanna jinx it.

Born in Sweden to Estonian refugees, Ilves actually grew up in New Jersey and earned his master's in psychology in these very halls in 1978. This head of state Capricorn speaks four languages, and apparently, he is to colorful bow ties as A-Gut is to red suits.
