First Fridays, meet your competition. Starting June 18, Sustainable Saturdays will be coming to Philadelphia on the third Saturday of each summer month (For those without calendar-brains, these dates are June 18, July 16, August 20, and September 17).
Made possible by the University City District and Philly Homegrown partnership, listed events maintain two distinct themes: free stuff and food. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make your own worm composting bin (oh, you don't?), or take an ice cream making tour (that's more like it), the extensive array of activities is bound to have something for everyone.
