Wow! This Formal DJ Used Transitions Between Songs

Tech wizard alert! When Liza Jenkins walked into her formal last week, she was expecting a normal evening with mediocre music. In the past, DJs hired by her sorority were always pretty good, but they didn’t do anything fancy. The best nights were when the DJ played her favorite song "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. A lot of people haven’t heard of it, but some DJs would take it as a request.

But this night was truly different from all other nights. Liza walked in as "Closer" by The Chainsmokers was coming to an end. She was expecting the song to play its final notes before the next song started playing. But to her utter shock, before the song was fully over, tones of the song “What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber started to become recognizable. Somehow, it was almost like two songs were being played at once. And granted, it didn’t sound great. The keys of the two songs didn’t quite mesh well, but goddamnit Liza was just so darned amazed that there were two songs mixed together that she couldn’t care less.

The crazy technical transitions continued throughout the night. Several times, Liza thought a new song was starting, changed her mind, and then changed it again! All the while, the DJ was bobbing to the beat, one hand holding his beats headphones to his ear, eyes narrowed as if concentrating all his attention on those sweet tunes. Swooning, Liza almost thought that she recognized the DJ as Jeff from Writing Sem, but then she was swept up in the music and never found out.
