President Amy Gutmann made history earlier this week when she met with Drexel President John Anderson Fry at the 33rd Street DMZ and briefly crossed into Drexel University, the first time a sitting Penn president has done so.

The two leaders discussed the denuclearization of University City in the wake of a recent Drexel University nuclear missile test. It had been four months since their ill-fated meeting at Temple University, and over a year since their last meeting at Swarthmore College last June.

Gutmann told UTB that it was an "honor" to be invited to set foot on Drexel's campus.

"This marks a new chapter in relations between our two great institutions. I'm hopeful that we'll be able to secure a deal to denuclearize the neighborhood and establish long-lasting peace."
