In case you haven’t picked up the paper or are smartly not subscribed to the Hub listserv, 1985 Penn alum Jennifer Egan just won the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction for A Visit From the Goon Squad. Although the Pulitzer committee somehow overlooked our excellence in investigative reporting, we commend their choice in Egan. Her book follows the lives of several people in the music industry. Perhaps Kweder served as inspiration for some of the characters? Ask Egan this and more when she visits the Kelly Writers House on May 14.
