Penn Study Slashes Suicide Myth

Bliss-2

While the media consistently reports that suicide rates increase during the holiday season, a recent Penn study has busted this myth. The study shows that from 1999 to 2010, the Thanksgiving-to-New Years bubble showed the lowest suicide rates, while rates increased during spring and summer months.

Meanwhile, the media has been falsely reporting that suicide rates are at their peak when holiday cheer is trying to do its thang! It never made sense, so now we know. Thank you, Penn Study, for giving us further evidence that the media ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT, and that Lindsay Lohan may in fact (fingers crossed) be sober (probs not).
