There Are Reasons To Look Forward To Adulthood, This Is Not One

Every two years, the world watches with baited breath as the elite battle it out for supremacy. We’re not talking about the Olympics – let’s be real, winning an Olympic medal is as meaningless as winning America’s Next Top Model. No, what truly matters in this day and age is social media dominance. But who will claim the throne? Five schools. Five days. Five photos. Five gold medals. One Champion. This is… Alumpics.

Over a five day period, alums from Columbia, Cornell, Penn, Princeton, and Stanford submitted their artsiest instas in a knockout, throw down style brawl, over which college prepares its graduates best for picking good filters and camera angles. Despite a strong showing, Penn was not able to wrest the number one spot from Cornell (classic Cornell) and came in second. What Alumpics really displays, though, is the bright future we all have waiting for us once we gradate. The degree may only take five years at (six at the max), but the attitude of shirking responsibility and taking pictures of ourselves can last forever.

In the words of the Alumpics itself, “Do not head to that meeting. Do not pick up that screaming baby. Do not do anything until you’ve followed the quick links below to your alma mater’s Facebook page"
