Do We Count? Yes, We Do!

wr

In case you missed out on the latest free food political advocacy opportunity, Mayor Nutter graced us with his presence in the Baby Quad today to talk about the census... and visit his old dorm room.

After he poked fun at Whartonites, calling them "constantly obsessed and thinking about money," our fair Philly mayor stressed the importance of filling out your census card.

Nutter coined some fun census catchphrases, including "10 questions on the census, it takes 10 minutes to fill out, but the results last for 10 years" and "Yes, we do!" the latter of which doesn't sound familiar at all.

When asked how the results would directly affect Penn students, Nutter listed resurfacing streets, funding for mass transit and growth in University City to be among the benefits.

He also mentioned that census takers would be knocking on doors to remind people to actually do it. But if they come, we know how to deal with them.
