Help! I got botox this summer and now everyone thinks I'm a freshman.
I think something's wrong. Yesterday, a girl waved to me on Locust and asked if I remembered meeting her during NSO. When I said no she didn't seem to care and invited me to have lunch with her and her friends at Commons.
"Commons, as in Commons the dining hall?" I asked incredulously.
"Duh, what other Commons is there?" She said laughing.
I tried to look confused, but the most I could do was squint my eyes in confusion. She must be mistaking me for someone else.
I shrugged my shoulders and ran the other way. I haven't eaten at Commons since Sophomore year while I was nursing a hangover and eating a cold bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Then, next thing I knew, it happened again. I was sitting in Van Pelt, pretending to do my readings when a group of bright-eyed, baby-faced kids asked me if I was studying for the micro economics exam and whether I had gone to Professor Duchene's office hours. Micro? As in microeconomics? The word alone made me shiver.
I simply shook my head no and turned away. Seriously, what was going on? Why was I suddenly giving off Freshman vibes?
Then it hit me! The lack of wrinkles on my forehead, my inability to frown, and my smooth, supple skin. It had to be the botox I got this summer while I was visiting my friend in South Korea. I showed my aesthetician an inspo photo of Anne Hathaway, but maybe she went a little too far with the injections.
I was just trying to do some minor preventative work to stop my smile lines from deepening. Plus, it was such a good deal, I couldn't say no. Perhaps I had gone a little bit overboard. I mean, I haven't been able to move my forehead since August. But if zero aging means being mistaken for a member of the class of 2030, it's worth it.
After all, I'm already one step closer to my goal of looking young forever!
