Jessica Roberts is from the suburbs of New York City. More specifically, she lives in a small farming village in Westchester. Even though she isn’t “geographically” a “resident” of New York City, she completely identifies as a New Yorker, both spiritually and as an artist.

That’s why Jessica purchased a 10-by-12 foot poster of Manhattan for her dorm. It takes up a lot of space and does very little to remind her of home, but it does remind her of New York City.

“I really like the hustle and bustle of downtown and the elegance and beauty of uptown. I love all the small communities of Brooklyn and just the whole impressive size of the city. I’d love to go there for more than a few hours at some point in my life”

Jessica is excited to be majoring in economics. She will unfortunately never move to New York, because the only apartment she will ever be able to afford is in Hoboken. She will, however, take a short weekend trip to the city when she’s 30.
