Panhel Excited to Announce $37 Raised in FY 25
Thanks to the tireless work of countless philanthropy chairs, active sisters, and random quarters found on the ground, the University of Pennsylvania's Panhellenic Council is proud to announce they have raised a record $37.
This far surpasses the $34 raised in FY24, continuing the marked increase from $0 in 2020. When asked what she attributes this year's success to, Becky White, philanthropy chair of Delta Delta Delta, cited several innovative fundraising initiatives: stealing change from homeless people, reselling lost frackets on Depop, and convincing engineering students they have a chance if they donate.
Alpha Phi's Emily Blanco took a more community-oriented approach. "You have to meet people where they are," she explained. "Selling roses on Locust wasn't cutting it, so we pivoted to offering 24/7 situationship surveillance — for a small fee, we'll monitor your situationship and alert you the moment he's spotted with someone else."
With so many causes competing for attention, the Panhellenic Council has chosen to direct all proceeds toward animal cruelty — specifically, ensuring that dogs across Philadelphia have access to proper nail grooming through their partner organization, Nails N Paws.
