Following their victory over the Netherlands in the 2019 Women’s World Cup Final, the U.S. Women's soccer team will not be accepting President Amy Gutmann's invitation to come to College Hall.

Prior to the final, team captain Megan Rapinoe told a reporter from soccer magazine Eight by Eight that she wouldn't go to "f*****g College Hall" if her team won the world cup, sparking a feud between the championship-winning team and President Gutmann's administration.

In a recent interview with UTB, Rapinoe confirmed that the team will officially not be accepting the invitation as a protest against Gutmann's policies.

"Under President Gutmann's leadership, Penn has really fallen on hard times. We've become the laughing stock of the world."

"I believe in equality between schools—why should only Wharton students be able to book GSRs? It's not like they're using them for anything productive. Where am I supposed to study during finals week?"

President Gutmann's office could not be reached for comment.
